    Holy Bender Bending Rodríguez!

Six years after getting axed by Fox, Futurama is being resurrected on Comedy Central.

A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox Television confirms that the cable net has ordered 26 new episodes of Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's late, great animated series to air beginning in 2010. The studio cites Futurama's "blockbuster" performance on DVD and in reruns on Comedy Central as the reason for its rebirth.

    Hmmm... sound familiar?

"When we brought back Family Guy several years ago, everyone said that it was a once in a lifetime thing -- that canceled series stay canceled and cannot be revived," 20th Century Fox TV Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden said in a joint statement. "But Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn’t have been happier when Matt and David agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell."

Adds Groening: "We’re thrilled Futurama is coming back. We now have only 25,766 episodes to make before we catch up with Bender and Fry in the year 3000."

    .

I just hope the new episodes are better then some of the movies they released. Some where less than good.

I'll admit that I never saw the big deal about Futurama. Which is strange, considering that I'm a huge Simpsons fan. Futurama was OK, I watched it if it was on, but I never thought it was anything all that special. I guess I'll check out the new ones, but I'm not going out of my way for it.

Family guy never was as good when it returned.

    The Simpsons sucks.

    I'm worried.

The Simpsons does suck, especially the movie. The fourth season of Futurama was freaking golden though. If they can capture 75% of that season it will be a smash hit again.

    +1

I hate that show. It's funny for 30 seconds. Unfortunately it lasts 30 minutes.

OK, yeah. I'm going to put this out there. On the DVD of the movie shorts they did, I watched the extra containing a 30 minute episode of Hypnotoad. I watched the whole thing.

And I watched it more than once.

    All glory to the Hypnotoad.

OH yeah! The trio returns! Simpsons, Futurama, and the Family Guy! All three reunited in some sort of cosmic trinity. I'm so excited. Fox better be ready for an animated beating from Groening and company though.

And berkeley the NFL. Seriously, HOW CAN anybody watch a TV show when the only time it airs is when Fox decides they want to play football games? "Well, we thought Family Guy was getting poor ratings, but it turns out, nobody watched it because we aired football games instead. Oops."

    good for them.

And FOX is retarded, I have a long list of grat shows they demolished byshowing them out of order and at funny times and premting them for Idol bull E36 M3.
