    LOL

Seriously - TRD, Nismo, Mazdaspeed, STi, SVT, "M", AMG, Abarth................Mugen?

So I was talking to the parts guy at my Honda dealership and I asked about the performance arm of Honda. He said "There isn't any".

What about Mugen? "Not part of Honda".

Go ahead and flame me since I am now driving a Buick Accord, which I actually like a lot. Does all the good stuff stay in Japan?

Mugen is indeed not part of Honda. HPD is part of Honda, and is a performance arm sort of, but AFAIK, they don't make any parts for street cars.

I thought the HFP dealer installed performance parts were a product of HPD? What are those then?

HFP are optional parts you can get from dealerships, the usual performance accessories; HPD is racer-only support/parts.

This is why you see so many Hondas with engine transplants.

Honda does not think Americans want/wanted Performance Accords, so the "Type R" Accord that the rest of the world was offered, and was even assembled in the U.S.....we never got. Honda built some of the Accords with the Prelude's higher performance engine for Japan and Europe in Ohio...but never offered them here. Imagine a '95 Accord with the performance of a new Acura TSX...other countries got that, we built them, but never got to buy them.

A place called www.tasauto.com may be of limited help, depending on year of Accord.

    What generation of accord?

I have seen a lot of 94-97 CD chassis accords getting cheap lately, must be hitting the bottom of their depreciation curve. I think an H22 wagon would be a hoot to drive.

Mugen is a separate entity from Honda. Kind of like Alpina for BMW, Brabus for Mercedes, etc. They are just so closely linked that Honda will sell their stuff in dealers. If you want performance parts for an Accord, we have the internet, Al Gore invented it :)
