    Yes, this is terrible....... BUT.........

the cynical side of me says that something with this video ain't right. Either the guy is really warped that he and the cameraman PLANNED to go stomp a calf or stab cows with a pitchfork ON VIDEO or somebody is doing this to set up the dairy farmer.

There is something seriously wrong with that guy. This behaviour has nothing to do with agriculture at all and serves no purpose. If you watched it with the sound on, the guy actually explains that he just likes hitting the cows, it makes him feel good. This is a very sick and dangerous individual.

I come form a rural background and have experience with livestock and believe me when I say this is not typical. Yes, livestock occasionally have a tough lot, but this is just the sadistic abuse of a sicko.

Animal activists can be a bunch of batE36 M3 crazy hypocrites, but I'd be shocked if they actually hurt animals on tape to frame someone.

That guy is a C.H. away from being a psychopathic murderer. Abuse of animals is a big precursor to murder. Shoot him now before he graduates to the next level.

    To quote the Greaseman:

"Excuse me sir, can you step over here, just over to this ditch here, what's that over there! BLAMMO!"

Like I said, something doesn't pass the smell test. It could be a case of hurt a few cows on video to get the whole thing shut down. To me this didn't look like a hidden camera video so the cameraman is just as guilty as the doofus on tape.

I'm pretty sure I saw a court case on TV a month or two ago on this. I'm pretty sure it involved the Conklin farm. If I'm not mistaken, the father was acquitted of all charges , but the son(or farmhand) was convicted of a minor charge. It may have been for impersonating a human or some such nonsense. Pretty disturbing behavior. I found it amusing at the time that they actually found "experts" to testify on their behalf.

He's still in jail, $100,000 bond and 12 charges.

This pos wants to be a cop. I don't want to imagine why he wants to be a cop.

I assumed it was a hidden camera because the camera angles are pretty crappy a lot of the times. Animal rights activists have been sneaking cameras into farms and processing plants for a while.

This guy would never make it through the battery of psychiatric tests, even iof he wasn't caught on videotape punching cows.

People think society is somehow sicker today than it was in the past. The only difference between now and the past is nobody went around videotaping their sick behavior.

agreed...sort of like how the environmentalists caused the gulf oil spill to make a statement.

I've worked on beef cattle farms, and even they are not really mistreated despite the finite lifespan they are born into. Dairy cattle, which are a relatively long-term investment, would never be abused as a business practice.

And no, I'm not watching, I'm just guessing about the video.

I don't know about this situation, but PETA kills a bunch of animals for more mundane reasons. How ethical of them!

Anton Chigurh should pay that guy a visit. At least he would do it humanely.

    Hold real still.

What's this guy got, 40+ years of no girlfriend? He/they should be stripped naked, tied to a fence in Montana in the winter and turned into a salt lick.

OK, best I didn't do law school and become a Judge.

I watched the whole video, but only because I was hoping for one of the grown cows to break free and flatten that guy.

A real dirbag would have not been wearing a polo shirt, nor using a clean pitch fork. I have seen misbehaving cows beat to death with a scoop shovel even on the nicest run farms. Yes, it takes a lot to whale on a cow till death with a scoop shovel. An Army issued 1911 usually seals the deal.

I still say that this is a set-up/not typical.

I think the guy should have to spend 30 minutes in a bullfighting ring with this bull (actually, that bull is probably dead already, so maybe we can find a bigger, angrier bull):

He'll get a few months. I say he, and his family should be investigated. Good (non in) breeding and nurturing parents do not produce that.
