This board would hav e given him 14 different ways to do that, none would have involved a sawzall. Moron.

    1. Burn car to ground.
    2. Extract bolt from molten detritus.

I must look like an idiot. Last weekend when I put the snows on the GTI I completely forgot I was supposed to cut the wheels off.

Not sure I would've thought about going that route myself. Wonder why he was trying to take the wheel off in the first place.

What a moron. If I understood him comment about welding an extension on he said he couldn't get to the bottom of the lug........I suppose he didn't try rotating the wheel?
There are 15 ways to get that lug out of there. If he was dumbfouded (instead of just dumb) why not take it to a wheel/tire shop and say "hey, get this off for me, I'll pay ya"

Somewhere there is a salesman who should be arrested & fined for selling this guy tools.

the guy claimed he went to about 10 tire shops, none of which would do the work for him.... don't know why he didn't try a machine shop or mechanic.

Oh, ok. I didn't read the whole post. I just know that if that were me, sawzalling the wheel would NOT have been on my list of options.

yeah no kidding. That would just wear out your sawzal blades. Why do that when you could just use a shotgun.

My next goal is to come up with an auto "repair" so fantastically stupid that people will believe I actually did it, then create a honda-tech forum post bragging about it to everybody. Like finding a junkyard wheel and making everybody think I had to cut it apart to remove it from my car. Or welding the hell out of my rear axle in an attempt to make it a locker.
