    Note the large rear window opening in the first picture and the fuel flap on the right front, which is a dead giveaway that the shell was no earlier than a '68.

    I thought I had a cool dad back with I was 15 and he presented me with my superbeetle. We spend several years off and on rebuilding and modifying it
