I was at the Great Lakes International Aviation Conference this past weekend. One ofthe mechanic schools had this on display. It is for a Pratt and Whitney R-2800 radial.

Cool! I had a few of those when I used to collect warbird radials. I had sweet R-2800 out of a P-47 D, sold it to an engineering company and they have it swinging a 14' prop to do destructive wind testing on building structures.

I'd love to build an old school looking race car with a big radial engine up front (or out back). That'd be awesome!

I have one of those - mine supposedly is for a R-4360 engine in a B-29, and it's new old stock. I found it at a garage sale, of all places, and bought it for $20.

    Warning: airplane geek on

    B-29s had Wright R-3350s. The B-50 had P&W R 4360.

    Warning: airplane geek off

I've always described carburetors as basically toilet tanks full of fuel. That one more so than others Stuart, you need to incorporate yours into a toilet.
