well not really the garage, it's actually for my office which has NO HVAC right now at all.
Anyone have any clue where to find one of those units that do both heat and A/C that hotels use? I just want a simple wall mounted unit that is all electric (no gas) to heat and cool this office. my 5000 BTU window a/c unit ain't cutting it.

They work very well, athough most all of them I've seen must be wired on 220v. Do you have that in your office?

They are called terminal package units. There are a couple listed on ebay. You might also consider a mini split unit. There are also some window units that are heat pumps.

Just saw the commercial on DIY channel. Looks interesting but I couldn't find a price range.

I've got 220 near the office. Heck I think we have 408 nearby as well. Near means in the warehouse section.

I got a terminal package unit (motel type) for a local independent appliance store. The split units such as mitsu makes look good. I think they're significantly more expensive than the terminal package units but probably do a better job.
