With gas so expensive these things got CHEAP! It's a $50K+ truck and I paid thirty for it! Silver, big tires, black interior (seems cheap IMO).

    . . .

It's a Power Wheels!!! Saw it at a garage sale and just HAD to get it! The stock battery is toast, but it's a twin-engine 12V model. Paid $30 (they were asking $50) and drug it home in the trunk of the cop car (just ever so slightly too big to get all the way in there and close the lid...).

I'm thinking an electric scooter battery to get it going again and then see what I can do for bigger motors

    Any ideas?

They say no car batteries because of kid safety. Since only adults will be driving the H2, does that mean I'm OK?

I put a car battery in my kids powerwheels jeep, and it worked fine. I thought it might be hard on it, but it lasted through 2 kids, and 12yrs of hardcore hauling. The wiring burned up pretty early, so I used a starter solenoid, and either pushbutton, or light switch. Stock batteries would last about 1 hr. The car battery would last all day.

I was driving home from the beer store the other day, and I had to drive around a shirtless dude (20s, must have been 6'2") piloting a purple Power Wheels Barbie Pontiac Solstice right down the middle of the wrong side of the road. I think maybe he'd been to the same store earlier that day. It would have made my day if he had started doing donuts in it though :).

I don't have any kids. This is just for my girlfriend to terrorize the neighborhood with. I'll be picking up a go-kart sooner or later for myself.

If I could pick up Power Wheels vehicles for $30 or even $50, I'd have the world's most badass electric RC car by now

Does anyone remeber the South Park when Cartman discovered such a thing as Home Schooling. He began to sing about what a wonderful thing it was.

My wife and I are about halfway through the adoption clearence process and looking over that site, I now know Eric was feeling....
