I flew from Lawton, Oklahoma once via Chicago. I had to run from one end of Chicago to the other to get the connecting flight. I ran up to a TSA lady and asked how to get to terminal _ . Yessir, you want to go down this ramp and turn left...

"But that puts me on the street, I just got off a flight from Oklahoma, looking for gate _ ."

Yessir, go down the ramp and turn left at the

    "Hold it, what?

Yessir, see that invisible line right behind you? You crossed it. You are outside our Security bubble and have to start over.

    FUGSAMADDERWIDYOU !!

Then this big guy steps out from behind a curtain and reminds me how easy it is to get arrested...

360 days a year I really like my job. Some days not as much.

Ah, the glamor of business travel; yeah, right.

Written from today's hotel room to accentuate the point.

I dont get to travel SWest too much but they are better than most once you learn SWest's ways with the whole numbered boarding and 24 hr advance stuff.

For non-SWest situations, here is a question that I have asked many TSA people and never gotten an answer to. The question alone really suprises the TSA people.
TSA is now a gov't agency - yes.
So why is it that if I pay a private company more money (first class ticket or frequent purchaser) this private company has the ability to regulate how quickly I will get served by this gov't agency (first class line being shorter than coach)?
