The new SNL's don't even make me crack a smile.

That show died with Chris Farly.

mike meyers, chris farley, david spade, dana carvey, norm mcdonald, etc. That was prolly one of the best cast for SNL. I loved watching those re-runs on Comedy Central. The Will Farrel cast was pretty awesome too. Lately it's just been a bunch of suck.

Don't forget Adam Sandler, he did pretty good on that show too imo.

Most of SNL has always sucked. They have the occasional flash of brilliance. As years pass, we forget the suck and remember the brilliance. The original cast did have some funny, but come on - Bee's and Coneheads? Really?

'Benny's buzzing off! Benny's buzzing off!'

    'Am not!'

'Oh really? Then why is there honey all over the sheets?'

The only thing I've seen lately that even made me smile from SNL was the Mark Wahlberg thing. Other than that, the show hasn't been funny in about 5 years.

PS: Kid Rock sucks, and so does the original song. That chorus makes me want to go completely postal.

Which song? The Warren Zevon song, or the Skynyrd song? He managed to steal two for one song, a feat Vanilla Ice never even pulled off.

The Zevon song. The Werewolf one.

Nah, Werewolves of London is a great song. Clever bit of songwriting there.

...Or you can just watch Mad TV... but that went to E36 M3 after season 6, I'm just glad frank caliendo is gone.

I like Warren Zevon. I love cover songs. I dont even mind when a song is sampled. It just seems a little weak when you simply use the music of another song and write your own lyrics.

Here guys...Here is another song for you to play on the radio, and remind everyone else out there why SE Michigan sucks...

Zevon was the master of the sly lyric.

Kid Rock is the master of redneck self promotion.

If you're in SE Michigan, and you see a new musician getting ready to hit the road, please stop him. We have had enough of Kid Rock, Eminem ect.

Hit the nail on the head there. My Dad is a redneck no dout about it, but an awsome man.

Y'all are right, Kid Rock is white trash as opposed to redneck. My apologies to the redneck community (of which I am a member, IMHO).

I'm not sure I would have minded as much if he'd just stolen the riff and had a real person play it. It's a badass riff. I can understand why he'd like it. But he only sampled about 4 bars of the song and just repeated those over and over.

And I generally do not like covers. If you're covering an established classic, you have to do something really special to make your cover worthwhile. The only artist I can think of who is consistently able to do good covers is Marilyn Manson. Even then, he should have left "Personal Jesus" alone.

Hahahahahahaha my friend told me about this earlier today. That will be some funny E36 M3.

Oh, and the only thing SNL has done funny since Eddie Murphy was on was "Dick in a Box" and the Mark Wahlberg and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin skits. It's good to know I'm not the only one that thinks the Mark Wahlberg thing was funny.

If you don't think SNL is funny anymore it probably means you're old. I can watch the old stuff and its not funny to me, but that doesn't mean its not funny to someone who gets the references.

Naw, funny's funny. I can listen to XM Comedy and just about kill myself laughing.

The Tina Fey Palin stuff (what I saw on YouTube) was great!. OTOH, Fey's '30 Rock' part is a waste of time.

    Lewis Black is hilarious.

Once in a long while Will Ferrell does something that will actually make me laugh but most of his stuff sucks. It's something in his timing and facial expressions.

85% of George Carlin's stuff was hilarious, but some of it just wasn't really funny; it could best be described as disturbing. IMHO, Richard Pryor was better overall than Carlin.

Jim Gaffigan makes me hurt myself laughing. Same with Kathleen Madigan and quite a few others.

Adam Sandler; well, let's just say I can't understand his popularity among those older than 10.

Richard Lewis has a one track comedy routine about being an insecure Jew, that's all he ever does and it's boring.

The Daily Show is funny, even if I don't agree with John Stewart all the time. Ditto the Colbert Report. I bought Steven Colbert's book and laughed my azz off.
