I was under our noses the whole damn time and correct me if I'm wrong but Why isn't GRM trying to do it. Maybe the witty banter we trade online here wont translate to TV, or as I believe it will, god knows there's no lack of mechanical talent here. So who thinks I'm a wee bit crazy. From what I gather, the presenters were all writers first and then TV stars because of the show.

    Okay end rant.

Now the real question who would be the stars...

Either from the Editorial staff or the Regulars on the board, I mean how hard can it be???

The Jeremy Clarkson type (funny, coarse, willing to say anything) : J.G. Pasterjak. Reference any Challenge banquet for reasoning.

The James May type (intellectual, reasonable, likes big Benzes) : Tim Suddard. He is the boss.

The Richard Hammond type (witty, questionable taste) : Mike Guido

The Stig type: Guest drivers from Per Schroeder, David S. Wallens, Rennie Bryant, various board and magazine regulars.

See now were getting somewhere, John you know you have to be in there somewhere. I don't mean we need to emulate the exact personalities on the show, but a well produced show like they have in the UK should be feasible here. Especially with a group of enthusiasts who wont pander to the Manufactures egos. I read all the other mags,l I got my hands on a top gear mag and was blown away by the wealth of content, kind of like how I feel when I get my GRM in the mail.

Can I line up stars for the reasonably priced car? I hear Jessica Biel can drive, Jessica Alba can heel-toe shift and Jessica Simpson can drift.

Sure, I bet we could have Jay Leno as a Star, I like Jay but I don't like him as a host of this show, where would the track be?

I think having NAMES such as Leno for a lead would ruin it. You want people to tune in for the fun and the content, not to see jay.

House track would be the road course at Gainesville.

We'd have to do better than that. It's little more than a glorified street training layout.

    BTW, welcome back wherethefmi!!

I drive fast. I usually end up off course and spinning from doing it, but I CAN drive fast.

Something with tight turns, and some fast sweepers and a decent straight, and usually good weather, what about Texas Motorsports Ranch? That place would be cool especially because it's mostly centrally located in the country, and that would make the TG style road trips easier.

Being back is short lived, for like the next month or so, I'm fully back in JULY...argghhhhh, but boy do I have some stories to tell.
