I bet he is a GRMer but I didn't get to ask him.

I got the call from my mom today, her car won't start. I grabbed some tools and head off to the grocery store parking lot to lend my assistance. I get there and sure enough, as I suspected there is a bunch of corrosion on the terminals and battery cables. In the process of getting the cable off of the battery a nice young man named Jamal came over to see if we needed help and was very helpful in getting the whole thing to cooperate. (The long story is mom had employed the use of a "friend" the last time she had battery issues, and he had removed the connectors from the ends of the battery cables - for reasons unknown to us, leaving just the bare wires sticking out and clamped in a half assed way. ) The short length of cable made it impossible to get it all back together with just two hands.

I noticed afterward that Jamal got into a nice old 300Z and I complimented him on it, but I didn't get to ask him about it before he left. We drove the car over to the Batteries Plus store and had them install some bona-fide cable connectors on there afterward.

Anyway, to all the extra-nice guys like Jamal running around offering to help stranded little old ladies, thank you! You give me faith in mankind.
