Yesterday on Yahoo there was an "article" about an artist who noticed that a 'burger she puchased from a McDonald's hadn't rotted away/turned green/started to stink after she had accidently "misplaced" it for a few days. She decided to experiment to see what might happen to a burger if she just put it on a shelf in her kitchen for a few WEEKS. She said it got hard as a rock, but otherwise still looked like a burger. A spokesperson from McDonald's was skeptical, since "McDonald's uses no preservatives in it's meat."

I would guess that ANY fully cooked meat will do that......

I'm pretty sure that somewhere on the interwebs somebody did that for a few years.

Eat at your own risk.

Worse than that, they've re-defined the food industry.

That's a misquote. It was actually "McDonalds uses no meat in it's preservatives"

I actually am not speaking of their food, but how they have influenced everything else we eat. Bet'ya you didn't know that McD is the world's number one buyer of APPLES. It's amazing how industrial food changes what we eat at home. Scary.

No- for the "healthy" meal options. they offer sliced apples.
Fast Food's demands really alters the food growing landscape- meat, fruit, vegtables, grains, etc.
If you can ignore the liberal slant (although I loved it), watch Food Inc for the info- you can then research what disturbs you to find out if it's true or not.
And Food is one of the most subsidized industries with our taxes. Mostly the industrial stuff.... Which makes the propsed taxes on sugar drinks incredibly ironic.
