My son works on 2nd Ave, near 43rd or 44th and commutes quite well without a car. Some time ago I posted about the area near the Flatiron Building being turned into a park, sitting area; don't know if it's the same as the area you guys are talking about.

Berkeley NYC? To each his own I guess. I don't think I'd live there, but for entertainment, things to do, things to see, you will never be bored. I like the public transportation on Boston better (sorry Wally) but there's no need for a car.

It's about noon here and raining. I just met Ian at the train station with his GS 450 in the back of the truck. He's riding back to NYC via the Taconic Parkway, hopefully the deer are all laid down due to the rain.....

Yep. They always do. Heck, they're still waiting on the 2nd Ave Subway, which was supposed to ease the congestion a bit after the 3rd Ave El was torn down

No, that's further to the south, near Madison Square Park. But your son works close to the area in question, on the other (east) side of the island.

DC is the only large town i would want to go to, If I could ever afford it. And once in DC all you need is a Metro pass. I still want a tattoo of the metro map

Just out of curiosity, Why would you want a train map on a tattoo?

Crazy fun trips to DC with art club back in college. I had the Metro map memorized.

To match the bus line map you have on your belly. Although he doesn't realize you use that as a cheat sheet.

It's my job to know where everything goes, I see more people with maps and parts of maps or their neighborhood tattooed on them. At first I thought they just got lost alot.

ah memories of driving through Times Square. I remember back in high school for our senior year we drove through at 3am and there was absolutely NO ONE anywhere. Was pretty cool.
