Cities in ruins - check
Major food and water shortages - check
Roaming bands of outlaws - check
Motorized vehicles, apparently ICEs - check
Fuel shortage for ICEs - nope, huh?
Primitive weapons - check
Some outlaws have guns...guns that shoot knives and spears - WTF?
Explosives and grenades - yep
Lone warrior on quest to find lost love - check
Warrior is skilled in martial arts - check
Martial arts that use pressure points to cause opponents to explode - ?
Warrior had rival who trained under same master - check
Rival also has mastery of pressure point explodin' martial arts - check
Warrior has anime required child sidekicks - check Most villains are 2 to 3 times the size of Warrior - check
Villains are also completely evil - check, rape, pillage, and kill...not necessarily in that order
What the hell do the Japanese smoke to come up with this stuff? Very limited water and food but unlimited gas for motorcycles and helicopters. Hundreds of villains bigger than Andre the giant but other folks are normal size. I guess gigantism travels hand in hand with the evil gene. No wonder villages are starving, they have to feed these guys and all the gas is used for motorcycle gangs...not enough left for tractors.
Oh yeah, it has all the normal anime stuff like named moves, almost instant healing unless the plot calls for the hero to be weakened, 3 mile jumps, punches and kicks that shatter rock and steel (Ken kicked a berkeleying tank to death!).
