If I were filthy rich, I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat. Forget any Ferrari or Lambo. That's just awesome.

I've been to this museum (Tallahassee Antique Car Museum) and he has 2 batmobiles in his collection, including the same car (shamelessly) hotlinked above.
All around great car (and other items) museum, if you're in the area.

At the Vintage GP at Mid Ohio there was one of those there, with the MGs up of course. I was walking with my two boys, 2 and 7, and a lady that was sitting by it came over to us and mentioned how much we reminded her of her family back in the day.
She said her son built it and it looked really good except for one thing. Out back where there was a hitch with a ball on the end of it in the middle of the exaust for the jet engine.
Edit: I just looked at the ebay listing, that is the same car we saw, very cool.

I dunno. The design lacks unity. Kinda looks like some kind of gigantic metal-eating monster tossed its cookies.

It would have been incredibly awesome if you had been driving the BatVan when they passed by.

I think I'd fake a overheating problem, hit the shoulder, and just fire up the blinkers for a minute..or ten.
Seriously cool photo, tho!

That's like observing rare wildlife out of it's natural environment. Very cool!

I saw that at Mid-Ohio also. It was driving around the infield, and then later I saw it in the paddock area. It was parked in front of an open trailer. I looked at the hitch, and wondered if they were really using it as a tow vehicle?! Is that a kit that's built on some factory chassis?

Neither.
The raw iron ore was summoned from the bowels of the Earth and telekenetically deposited in a deep dark cave where the Devil's minions hammered it into shape and then quenched it in the fluids of virgins. The frame entraps the soul of the undead and the body holds three fallen angels. Its evil master hides his true identity behind a mask as he is transient, he is truly evil but he could be any one of us. You see when a project car goes bad, you are ripped from your body and forced to endure this life until another is chosen.
The hitch is to carry the Coke cooler.

Wow, the trailer hitch IS to tow the race car with! How cool is that!
"What car, either real or fictitious, has become more legendary than that driven by the heroic vigilante Batman? This replica was entirely designed and built by Casey Putsch. Unlike the replicas that have recently sold at auction or that have been spotted driving around Europe, this is the only one built to high enough standards that it can be considered a performance car in its own right. It is even track worthy and has been built with a trailer hitch to tow Putsch's Toyota Atlantic car and racing motorcycles with. This car also has on-board compressed air and AC to power tools and other race car support items such as computer interface. This car features a tube frame chassis, roll structure, independent suspension, Corvette drive-train, automated retractable Browning 30 caliber machine guns replicas, police/military scanner, internet, satellite navigation, digital and electroluminescent displays, automated canopy, PA system, freight train horn, trailer brake control, air-ride suspension, among other interesting items. "

I saw a M-1 Abrams tank actually driving down a divided highway by my house. It was in the middle of a small convoy (4 or 5 trucks/hummvs) but it had its turret pointed backwards. I damn near drove off the road in awe!

Two guys I work with has that stamp on their license. Easier to get than a CDL.
