So on Monday I'm flying out to Indonesia for four weeks. Has anyone been over there? Any hot travel tips/must-do attractions for me?

It's a buisness trip so I don't know how much free time I'll have, but weekends are weekends. I'll be in Jakarta for a few days, then on Jogjakarta (maybe) and the eastern island of Flores for a couple weeks. Hiking up to the Kelimutu volcanic lakes on Flores is definately in order.

I should have decent internet access for most of the trip.

Har-dee-har. Indonesia, not Thailand. (Also, not an American.)

    Pics will be forthcoming.

Don't get drunk and vandalize any cars. They still cane people over there. Remember?

That was Singapore, not Indonesia. I think they kill you for that in Indonesia.

Stop off in Singapore on the way back if you get a chance. It used to be a great place to go shopping. Haven't been there in a long time now.

    Greets from Jakarta everyone!
For your enjoyment, the five rules of driving in Indonesia:

    1) If there is someone ahead of you, you need to get in front. Period.
    2) Making eye contact with or even looking at other drivers is an act of submission. Don't.
    3) Under no circumstances should you actually come to a stop, unless you're dropping off a passenger in which case you should do it wherever you want.
    4) The white dotted lines on the road are completely unnecessary and a waste of your tax rupiahs. You should ignore them in protest.
    5) Remember, you own the road at all times. Everyone else must yield to you. Feel free to honk until you get your way.

Hey guys, I'm still in Jakarta. I actually took my camera out and did the tourist yokel thing today so here are a bunch of photos for your enjoyment. It's a big, hot, crowded city but I actually like it. Wouldn't want to live here though. But then I'm not really a big-city person in general.
