Last night I noticed CBS was running adverts for it's upcoming "The Defenders" series. Don't get me wrong, I like Jerry O'Connell and Jim Belushi? well, he's sort of likeable. But why in the heec put together a series that looks like a Fox network reject....and give it the name used by one of the most revered lawyer shows your (CBS's) network, ever produced?
THEN, tonight I see adverts for a resurrected "Hawaii 5-0" series. Actually, that one looks okay, IN SPITE OF THE FACT it appears to have only the name of the state in common with the old series. (No idea who is in that upcoming series.)
SOOOO, CBS, how long can we expect to wait before you bring back "Gilligan, THE Skipper too, The Millionare....and his wife....." well, if you've seen the original.
To sort of "tie this up" IF, CBS was crazy enough to bring back Gilligan's Island....who would you cast in which parts? The folks chosen (they don't have to be professional actors) SHOULD resemble the original cast members, or have jobs that would make them "modern day counterparts" to the characters. Example: if an actor wasn't chosen, a real life millionare should be nominated to play Mr. Howell....say, Donald Trump, with maybe Joan Rivers as Mrs. Howell?

John Goodman as Skipper
Bill Nuy as the Professor
Donald Trump as Mr. Howell
Meryl Streep as Mrs. Howell
Laura Prepon as Ginger
and finally Danica Patrick as Marianne
