A couple of events suggest that Florida needs to get on the ball:

Yep, bidness as usual. As we say down here, 'thank dog for Mississippi.'

I <3 all three of my brothers dearly but there's a limit to just how far I will go. Noshing toot freshly removed from their nether regions is way past that. OTOH, AngryCorvair has this thing about hooker's buttocks... I bet the girl in the bowling alley will accept the next drink she's offered.

As long as it comes from a woman. That's the kind of thing that could make somebody switch teams.

Maybe not a sheriff, but this mayor used to be in the news quite a bit. Notice 'used to be'. Not much chance he will be doing sound bites any more.

    http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2011/may/16/man-shot-cottageville-police-officer/

Before that, he was arrested for doing 103 mph on the road going to Cottageville. (Having driven that road numerous times, that's bordering on insanity.) He later flipped his truck and was injured pretty badly.
