During the Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics the indoor "cauldron " was supposed to have four legs protrude from the floor. Apparently one of them had a mechanical failure (Lucas ?) so only three of them formed the base. Since it was a good sturdy Canadian design, it will suffice for now. And they had an outdoor one for Gretzky to light.
Also Jacques Villeneuve helped carry the Olympic flag in.
