I'm beginning to suspect that Mr. Keyser is much like Jim Hall. Too modest to enjoy the aftermath of his influence upon motor racing until those of us that owe him something get vocal enough to tell him about it, over and over and over again. Even if the man had never raced in IMSA (or even in club races), that film he made is legend. IMO, a remarkable document of the time.

Eventually, he'll get the clue. After all, aren't Hall's Chaparrals sitting in a museum now, instead of gathering dust in his warehouse?

Again, really cool work Lesley. I especially like the "Legends" Steve McQueen piece. Makes me want to paint again.

They live at the museum, but they travel also. While I was at the Indy museum in 2009, they wheeled in the 2K. Didn't take as many pics as I should have. There is usually one at Classy Chassis in Houston.

Lesley:

What would an original one-off be worth to you? I'm thinking the layouts you do with a famous driver/ car together would be fantastic gifts for car lovers- pictures of an individual with his favorite car.

How about a Challenge competitor with his beast, a spec Miata racer with his own car, or grandpa with his favorite classic?

It may not be feasible for one-offs, but it is a thought.

lesley, i just want to add my comments....nice work on the art. and good luck with your website...really makes me want to get out and do more with my art style......i dont draw, its years since i did anything and i was getting good but it was keeping up with the work and the skills are not great again...so i picked up a different brush...i use a camera now.....

It's all just different ways of interpretation, isn't it? I once took about ten years away from doing any art... and although my physical rendering may have needed practice, my eye (and brain) had continued to develop so that I was soon much better than I'd been years before when drawing all the time.
