The speed limit on Collier Boulevard, where she was cited, is 45 mph. According to county guidelines, the yellow light should be 4.5 seconds.Mogil said he tested it 15 times with an average of only 3.8 seconds.

Collier County will now spend more resolving court cases than it made by illegally ticketing drivers. And they'll spend even more to check and re-calibrate cameras at all the other intersections, too.
Sweet! How does one find out such info? I know a buddy of mine was cited for 5 or 10 over and beat it because those yellow speed limit signs are NOT speed limit signs. They are a cautionary sine due to conditions but NOT the legal maximum speed. Now I HOPE to see a donut-eating pig at one of those bends and pray he pull me over.
this has prompted me to drive back to the spot of today's speeding ticket, gotta find that 30mph sign.
