that guy (alex) shows up at our local bmw events, it's a full interiored, stock internal 2.5L M20 with just shorty headers, full exhaust, and a tune that routinely runs FTD even sometimes with the occasional open wheel car. its one hell of a ride.
hah, and he used to tow it to the event on a light trailer behind an e30 wagon sporting a euro S52

Holy lust batman. Where oh where is the build up log/website for that car. Please let me waste hours reading about it and daydreaming. If the owner doesn't have a website go tell him to start one. Must have........drooollllll

Gah! That is the first E30 that has given me a twinge of regret for selling mine. I love that it's a 4 door. 4 doors are awesome.

In reply to Carson:
I'm another one who has a soft spot in my heart for sedans that are done well - like this one.
The car belongs/belonged to Alex Schipkov; I believe he's out of Albany NY. Other than that, I know nothing except that he and the car have put in some stellar performances at national-level solo events.
This photo was pulled from a thread on SCCAforums.com that featured favorite pics from autocross events around the country.
