So is this commercial shot in an actual place or is it TV trickery? If it's real, where is all that concrete and why are we not racing Solo events on it?

For GRM'rs, they only significant Lexus milestone is when they dropped the IS300 that actually appealed to performance-oriented drivers.
While I actually like the idea (and styling) of a manual-trans IS250, the appeal is gone - you can buy better for less in a number of places.
Even in my advancing years, I'll give-up comfort and gadgetry for fun and grip.
