Damn near NJ from central indiana for the donor car for the Escort.

Driving a parts car 750 miles back was.... "interesting."

lol.....I tried to drive the SHO back from imperial, but pendot put a quick end to that......they stopped me for trailing a light fog of burned oil(leaking valve cover), and threw a fit over how the car had valid plates despite the emmisions inspection being 5 years out of date

Long story short, no fine, 5 hrs at a PN state police post, and telling uhaul I was merely using the tow dolly for in state activities(returned in Indiana) It was worth the $700 car....lol

Flew from NJ to LA. Picked up a Honda S600, drove to Laguna Seca, back to Redondo Beach and then to NJ. About 3,500 miles all told. Also stopped in Palm Springs and the Grand Canyon along the way.

My girlfriend and I picked up a shell of a 87 RX7 from South Carolina on a Saturday morning. We then drove to North Carolina to stop at a guys school where he had a rebuilt 13B. Then we went to another guys place to get all the interior stuff we needed and some of the wiring. WE then drove back to PA on Sunday morning and made it home around midnight.

Girlfriend did all of the driving because I didn't have a valid license that month.

P.S. After we checked compression and got the motor in the car, it started but fluids ran out of EVERYWHERE! also, it ran super rough.

It turns out that the motor was assembled internally correctly, but everything bolted onto the block was done so without ANY gasket material. There were NO gaskets anywhere. Sweet...
