So, I was browsing eBay for M35A2s (I'm convinced that one will be my next car), and I came across a very peculiar listing:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Military-Deuce-cargo-truck-M35A2C-plus-bonus-House-...

    eBay Seller said:

For sale deuce 1971 Turbo (M35A2C) 2.5 ton 6X6 drop sides, no issues drive it anywhere solid truck I am selling the truck plus the house…both goes to the highest bidder NO RESERVE, house will need some new windows plus stove, refrigerator and AC unit. In addition some of the dry-walls and kitchen counters are damage. It grieved my heart bitterly to part with these possessions but I have to move with the job. Structurally house is good, inspection conducted in 2009 concluded with no violations, the house has 3 bed room with 1 jack and Jill bath, house is located in Macon, Georgia. lot size is 0.18 acre lot with house previous sold for $38,000 then $68,000 These will last….property if forever and that truck is a tank. Please feel free to email me for additional pics or with questions.

    From someone on another forum

Ah, the Deuce and a Half. I remember those, I think they phased them out because they were stick shift and most berkeleys couldn't handle that it seemed (everything is automatic transmission in the Army). You think you were shifting into first gear and instead that was reverse and DONK right, a love tap into another vehicle. Not a suspension with a goddamn either. Good times. Glad they are gone for the most part.

If it came with an engine, good luck getting parts for the bugger, etc.

Have you tried trolling c-list for those things? What about the local Jeep forums? FloridaJeepers.com tends to have one or two in their for sale section pretty much all the time.

Actually, I might know someone that has one. What kind of condition are you looking for? The guy has school buses full of parts for old military vehicles.

Yeah, a bobber Deuce is quite possibly the least useful vehicle I could imagine for my lifestyle, yet I want one badly. Maybe I could rig up a davits system for transporting the Miata.

I thought this was going to be about the Infiniti sedan with the smaller engine.
