I don't care what beer you drink. Here's my rule. If I bring XYZ "good" or "premium" beer, and you bring ABC E36 M3 beer, I'd better not catch you drinking mine. You consume like you bring. By bringing a high quality beer, I can drink anything out the cooler. By brining natty lite, you are stuck with it.

Can't tell you how many times this has happened this summer already. "oooh, Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Extra.... I'll have one of those instead of the busch that I brought." berkeley YOU! I like me a Busch, a PBR, Yeungling, etc, but I choose when to drink them.

you sir, win! Best point in the thread

For cheap and good beer, I had a beer judge (who at the time was sharing $40 bottles of wine) inform me that Simpler Times is a good cheap lawnmower beer. Stupid cheap for a 6pack at Trader Joe's, and nothing fancy but is like taking a macro lager and doing it better.

With a closet full of homebrew, I'm pretty well set on affordable beer though.

I've been pretty pleased with the Trader Joes beers now that we have one here. The Stockyard Oatmeal Stout is very good, especially for a buck a bottle. I've even heard that, in areas outside Unibroue's normal distribution, TJs relabels some of their beers for resale at lower than Unibroue's typical prices. Yum.

Everybody says Trader Joe's has the best of everything on the cheap. Well, I have no Trader Joe's here. What the hell is a man to do?

Same here, no Costco either. Just Sam's. Which is just Wal-Mart on steroids.
