Messerschmitt KR200 on Dutch TV ca. 1978. This a bizarre competition, but the fact that a three wheeled micro car did so well in it is even more odd.The fun starts at 0:48

Well, that answers the question of "What would it sound like if the Swedish Chef did race commentary?"
Cool fact I learned this week about Messerschmitts (the cars): the original motors were the starter motors from Me-262s, which I guess were lying around after demand for the planes, um, dried up. (By the time the KR200s came along, they had upgraded to a 191-cc stormer making 10.2 hp.)

I saw a ragtop Messer autox'd at South GA Motorsports park with Dixie Region SCCA several years ago. It was just a demo between runs. It took FOREVER for the little bugger to make it around, but man it was cool.
