I just washed some ibuprofen down with bourbon.
That's the approved method, they complement each other.
Confession: while driving to florida and back to fetch my elderly step mother is gonna be a big PITA, I am looking forward to a little "me time".
Wife and I talked about minimizing the "fleet" and managing with one car until the end of the school year since we carpool to work (I haven't driven either of "my" cars in a few weeks) and have been thinking about changing up cars anyway. The confession part: I don't hate the idea and this isn't in the rant thread
Just drove my mothers' 2017 Outback. My initial Luddite self wants to rail against all the safety electronic "features" but pretty quickly I can see how they are generally a good thing.
Getting used to the automatic braking and distance following cruise control.....WEIRD!!

I just drove my mothers new 2017 outback, and I liked everything about it except the auto braking. It slammed on the brakes for me pulling out of the driveway. No clue why.
I just gorged myself on paczki so i offset all the sugar with half a bag of hot fries.

I may have just vented my Miata's A/C system to the atmosphere. Hey, no one has a machine that services R12 anymore
i bought my wife a 9mm for our 6 year wedding anniversary, now i want too keep it.
For some reason I am really attracted to the 1990-1991 Eldorado Touring Coupe. Something about the styling with the deeper front air dam does it for me.

I may be the only single, heterosexual male to ever get annoyed at an attractive female for texting me an unsolicited nude photo.
I've owned my Civic for just over a year now. That's the longest I've had any car in the past few years and I'm about to sell it.
I guess I get bored easily.

Yeah, this was some girl I met on a dating app (I have anxiety attacks trying to go to bars and meet new people, literally, and there really aren't any good places in the area for people my age to meet up anyways). Was talking to her and she tells me that she's trying on dresses because tomorrow was her sister's birthday and they were going out, and she asked me if she could send a photo of her in a dress and get a second opinion and I immediately thought "Well, I know what's coming" And, yup, first photo was her in a dress, second was sans dress. I was style kinda-sorta onboard at this photo and then she wanted me to log onto her webcam site and I was like "Nope, got the wrong guy, this is not my style, sorry"

In reply to NickD :
Ah you ran into a bot.
Almost fooled ya, didn't it?
In reply to RevRico :
watch out for the bots, they can lead you to bad places. just check out what happened to Joe.
I typically hate red cars/trucks.
But im seriously debating keeping the red on the new drivabeater.
I get a kick out of rolling up to a Craigslist buying inquiry and leveling with a prospective seller that I'm about to turn their appliance into a "race car". It's like an automotive Rorschach's Test
I traded my mid transformation beater appliance for another ugly Dodge truck yesterday.

The last dozen contacts I've added to my phone have all been from here.
That means I haven't met a new real person in over a year. I'm good with that.
I'm thinking about paying too have my flat black wagon detailed just so I don't have too polish my wheels myself.
The exhaust on my new beater truck is entirely too loud and I kind of like it.

Used a UniBit for the first time ever. Those things are berkeleying SICK!
I have a Nissan Altima as a rental while my GS430 is in the body shop. While it's not a particularly attractive car, I don't really have any other issues with it, like a lot of people on this board do. It was easy to adjust the power seat to a comfortable position, the ride isn't bad, it has enough power, I got used to the way the CVT likes to work fairly quickly, and it actually seems to have less road noise than my (17 year old) Lexus. While I doubt I'd ever choose to buy one, it is competent transportation.

I know the feeling. Two years seems to be my limit lately. Makes it hard to justify buying nice newer cars and eating the big depreciation hit.

I think the new Toyota Supra is berkeleying hideous. I also think that the MkIV Supras styling is overrated. Its just a fat, blobby jellybean.
Im more interested in working ON my shop than IN my shop at the moment.
