I want a Lancia Scorpion (Montecarlo).
I know this is a horrendously bad idea, but I also don't care. Doing things that were bad ideas has not failed me yet.
"To drive a sports car that is not Italian is like going to a proctologist with little fingers. You are missing part of the experience".
I know, I have a Scorpion.
Wow, I just found a photo of your Scorpion in another thread. Do you have a thread dedicated to that car?
Thanks. No, not really. Some time ago there was Lancia forum that I had posted to but usually by topic, not the whole car. That photo is from the Tail of The Dragon six ro seven years ago.
In reply to Scott_H :
Please start some kind of thread dedicated to this car, so that we can begin loving everything about it.
I like my WRX, but the threads on Transit Connects and Caravans, and my fantasies about camping and hiking on the weekend have me thinking about trading it in on a minivan. I could even use one to flat tow the Super Beetle to rallycross events.
Maybe it was coincidence, or I may have passed enough gas in sleepykid’s bedroom while they fell asleep that I kicked the room’s air purifier from “auto” to “full”
and yes, it was an excellent doener sandwich I had for dinner

I'm really glad her teachers have watched my daughter trip and fall over air. At least that makes witnesses I've never touched her, she's just extremely clumsy.
Good day at the zoo, but she just fell off the counter and got a nice bruise on her chin. Goes good with the one on her forehead from falling down the steps last week.

That's Miles's 2.5RS, before it was Jerry's 2.5RS, and that's my GTI. And Coke used to flat tow the Beetle to events all the time.
There, there's five reasons why you should be able to flat tow the Beetle behind your WRX. Also, I didn't know you had a WRX until this post.
Also:
That's the 2016 GLDiv PF championship winning car towing the 2008 National Championship PR winning car.
Which I still need to find a fuel tank for so I can drive it.

Hard to camp in a WRX, though

Buuuut, I slept in the trunk of the S40 at the two-day at Bitzer's in 2017. It actually had more room inside than my tent did.
I've slept in an SN95. You should be ok with the WRX.
I’m one of those people who can’t sleep well in odd positions. Like, not even on an airplane after being awake over 24 hours. I’ve tried sleeping in a car before, and it just doesn’t work. Did manage to sleep in the back of my 3rd gen Caravan years ago with a bedroll and a sleeping bag a few times, but that’s about it.
The Rabbit, on the other hand, is very easy to sleep in. I used to road trip in my GTI with all of the seats but the driver's removed. Spare tire in the front passenger footwell (matched height to the footwell drop) and a camping cot stretched the full length of the car. Is is strange that as I work through modifying my Rabbit that I still want to make sure it is easy to sleep in?

I always slept like a baby in the back of conversion vans. With the seat removed, I bet the Excursion would be prime sleeping space as well. Like you, though, I've never been able to sleep in a car for any appreciable amount of time. What about an air mattress under the cap in the S10?
In reply to wae :
Or Tim could be all, "Hey Bill, you have this badass RV, can I sleep in it?"
Difficulty: Only works at Rallycrosses, where you bring the RV.
Reality: If it isn't a Rallycross, then it isn't worth camping at.
I may have goofed putting the GRM sticker on my toolbox at work...

My caprice could probably easily fit 2 people sleeping comfortably of average height in the trunk. I actually toyed with the idea of removing the back seat and building up a platform with an air mattress passing thru to the trunk but the floor is far from flat

After the recent breakup, I'm kind of in a "Treat yoself" mood. But I can't figure out what to treat myself with
In reply to NickD :
start with a gram of coke and a pair of vietnamese she-males and see where that takes you

A living, functioning FADAL?!?
I thought they had all been turned into Taiwanese machines by now.
I learned programming on a ~1989ish 4020. Loved that machine!
In reply to SaltyDog :
We're paying the bills with 6 of them plus a few other machines.

Kids are good like that. About 8 years ago my daughter fell and actually fractured her arm on the first day of spring break in Florida.
My son used to fall so much I started to be legitimately worried that CPS would get a call from our frequent ER visits.

My mom was an elementary school nurse, and also a mother of 3 boys who played hockey, football, lacrosse, baseball, not to mention tried to see how high we could jump off of things on our bikes, etc.
She constantly had to talk [typically first year] teachers off the ledge of calling CPS because of bruises, cuts, scrapes, etc. from being kids doing kid stuff. Obviously there were instances where it was a legitimate concern and CPS was called, but some folks don't realize that roughhousing is a thing that kids do, or that kids are hopelessly clumsy.

Not really a sound system guy. It already has a CD player capable head and 4 working speakers, which is good enough for me. I don't play music via bluetooth or my phone, so I don't need that. And I don't need crazy speakers or anything, because I can't really tell the difference. If anything I should probably figure out what the thinnest fans that I can get for the Miata are, so that I can run my Racing Beat sway bar.
