I’d like to tell you I did that…really, I’d like to tell you I did that.
I’ve got a FLEX plan for childcare but not for medical.
I got upsold at Lenscrafters two years ago…despite Hotie McHotHot O.D.’s assurance, the fancy Ray-Ban frames she talked me into failed to result in any panties being thrown at me.
I made a conscious decision to take my business elsewhere this time so I wouldn't get upsold again and...

Minor confession: I wore big thick "birth control" glasses for years. Now I wonder why everyone doesn't get LASIX, it really is the coolest thing ever!

I’m conducting a mental postmortem and I’m wondering if the eye dilation procedure put me in a vulnerable, compromised position.
Think about it, it would be like trying to negotiate the price on a new car when every few minutes, a midget pops out of nowhere, slams you in the knee with a pipe, and runs away shouting random obscenities.
Kind of hard to stay focused; right?
I really berkeleying miss Bill Hicks.

Aren't you a vet? Military bcg's are brutal.
Considering selling the Evo almost entirely because of how poorly placed it is for SCCA PAX.

I really should replace the entire engine harness on the Manic Miata. I really really don't want to. It's running fine... but if it decides not to, I won't even have a clue where to begin. And if I do replace it, will it still be running fine when I'm done?
Hi, I'm Andrew and I'm a car-o-holic. I have an addiction, I keep buying cars.
In other news, I picked up a parts miata yesterday. The body is actually in pretty decent shape, so now I have to see how hard it is to convert an NA miata from auto to manual...
I have no idea what I'm doing these days I have no idea what I'm doing these days with a challenge car. I just keep telling myself I'm a redneck with a welder and no fear of failure.
I am disappointed that fanny packs have fallen out of favor with the masses.

Because not all of us fit the purpose of Lasik. I first got glasses after an eye injury, a supposedly hydraulic specialist blew up a canister in our face and I was the lucky one. He ended up with a plastic cheek bone and palette, I got pits and scratches on the cornea of one eye. Wore glasses that had a slight prescription on one eye and clear the other eye for years. Now it's just old age w/bifocals. If I could have Lasik it would not negate the need for reading glasses.

Amen. DD#1 is almost 25 and is extremely myopic, like -11 / -12 myopic. Her eyes are still headed south. She won't be a lasik candidate until they stabilize, and even then they are unlikely to get her to the "not needing glasses" level. The best they'll probably do is "normal glasses" range.

CSP PAX is actually WORSE than BSP PAX. Shenanigans I say!
Sunday I finished 7th in raw and all the way down at 24th in PAX.
In reply to wlkelley3: Ouch! That does suck. And I understand, last year I made the switch to reading glasses for close work.
I thought the best part about the screw driver set I got in the secret Santa this year was the torx drivers it came with. Specifically because of that set, I completely reorganized my big toolbox for the first time since it was new, which is an accomplishment in itself. Specifically this set because it's the first time I've had a set of screwdrivers all in the same place, and wanted to make sure I could find them again after I opened the package, so the organizing wave started.
This weekend, while working on the wagon, I actually put a use to some of them and honestly expected them to break. Prying, bending, chiseling, holding opposite the impact driver, and being thrown in anger once, not even a scratch on the finish or a bend.
Thanks Woody, seriously, these are awesome.

Kinda like the time I was 12th raw, 31st (aka, dead berking last) on PAX.

And yet, at Sunday's autocross here, Billy Davis was 1st PAX, 2nd raw (.016 behind an AMod car on a ~50 second course. A real one, driven by good drivers).
Blame him.

I got up-sold to progressives this year. Over $400 out of pocket. I wore them for 3 weeks and returned them on the 30-day-no-questions-asked policy. berkeleying hated that I had to turn my head to check my side-view mirrors, among other reasons. So I got a single-vision prescription to match the "middle distance" part of the progs, lost a little long-distance correction but I no longer have to take off my glasses to look at my phone or my monitor. Also got a big chunk of money back.
I stopped asking about Lasik and PRK when I went for my annual eye appointment. The optometrist would just laugh
Curse my football shaped ocular organs!
The raw vs PAX thing mostly bothers me because I feel like they classed the Evo with an eye on things that it does well that... don't apply to autocross.
Cool, it's got AWD... that weighs a ton and doesn't do much in the dry except lead to chronic understeer.
Oh, hey, autocross happens in the dry!
Obligatory confessions:
I may complain about SCCA classing too much.
Also, I have considered 'accidentally' letting my roommate's piece of E36 M3 indoor cat outside every day this week.

Okay, I will. Rant Of the day: This darn Billy Davis guy is screwing my PAX up. Of course, I could likely class into STR with the new Torsen swap ruling, but that would put me up against some devastating S2000s in my chapter, whereas in C/SP, I am the literally the only Street Prepared car at every event.

I'm confused. That doesn't seem very far out of range at all. Seriously, my daughter is like -12 and they said she's a great candidate... once her eyes stabilize.
