Minor win- I dont live in Philadelphia or London, where apparently it is possible to use a canoe and mantra to kill or control people and things. Scary stuff

I accidentally quit caffeine for about a week last week, just didn't really feel like having any energy drinks. Was feeling pretty good. I do try to go a week or two without every so often so I'm not totally dependent, and so it's more effective. Over the weekend I started drinking my caffeinated drinks again, and I think I might be dragging more than when I didn't have any.
Bonus numbers came out.
WOOO did crazy good this year. With stock its going to be 40% over top of my salary.
timing fixed a lot of drivability issues.
Tach signal rock steady.
Pinion angle change cured vibrations.
The duster is BACK!
Finally got the title for my motorcycle from the great state of CA. Thus ends a ~4 month debacle, all so I can just SELL IT.
I guess it's good timing for tax return/bonus season?
First leg of fly-n-drive adventure done. Asked for an exit row seat for leg #2 and got one (free).
Such leg room!!
Poor photo but trust me this was a win.
Friend of mine has had his is350 laid up for 2 months as they had their first child. It failed motor vehicle inspection for rear brakes. I told him I would do them for him as a gift (because I don’t know what else to get a new parent). Turns out instead of a pair of pins the calliper runs one pin and one stud. After freeing up one side the other required a 5lbs sledge, a selection of punches, penetrating lubricant, and persistence.
Between the two sides this went from being a quick hour job to a 4+ hour fun time. That being said I saved some new parents a bunch of cash and got the thrill of success that comes with fixing a problem instead of swapping a part.
took the duster to the first cruise night since it caught fire in 2014. with my daughter. on megasquirt. and had a milkshake.
the parts car has tinted windows. and i can apparently unbolt all but the rear glass. so, 4/5 of the R/T will be tinted!
You know those times when you bite into something and it makes your brain stop for a bit with how good it is? That was the slice on the right, which was described to me as a big mac chopped up and tossed on top of the pizza.
I was able to get six 11 year old boys hooked on a 20 year old computer game over the weekend. My son Tyler asked to have a LAN party for his sleep over this weekend to play Unreal Tournament. I was able to scrounge up 6 laptops, got the game loaded and took over the dining room. They all had a blast and were asking how to get a copy of it.
Part minor win, part minor rant, part being thankful that I have had a good financial education in my life.
With the past few months, we've had a lot of bills. Many went on the credit card. My wife also quit her job (with my full support), so the budget has been very tight lately.
Well, going through the finances this month I didn't see how I was going to get the credit cards down to zero and still afford to live. I think I've had interest charges twice in my life on my credit card, and the one was legitimately not my fault (cell phone company charged an old card instead of the new one, and I didn't realize it). The minor win here? I just found a credit card with a 0% introductory rate for 15 months, with 0% transfer fees. We now have a 0% loan for 15 months. No interest charges here! Woo!
All 4 of my vehicles are running, registered and insured.
Figured out how to fix the SRS light and ABS light on the Integra.
Closest junkyard was a honey pot this weekend, spent a lot but one or two sales from my haul should pay for the whole shebang.
Couple of years ago I bought my first (& only) pair of prescription sunglasses, expensive RayBans. They went missing last summer. I was messing around with a car I seldom drive today & found them under the passenger seat.

UT is 20 years old??? Dang.
I was a frickin' monster at that game. I never much got a hang of the sniper rifle, but put the flak cannon or the Ripper in my hands and I was a force of nature. Oddly none of my friends liked the Ripper, but come on! You could do headshots from around corners!

It came out in 99, crazy. I love the Flak Cannon, so much fun. It was nostalgic to see those kids playing each other, eating snack and crap talking just like my friends and I used to do. It was also nice to know that I can still hold my own against kids used to using a console.
Between the snow, sleet, rain, and more rain, 95% of the bird crap and road salt has self-washed off of my cars. And now it's sunny and getting warmer.
