I have been watching random car movies on netflix. My most recent had been Corvette Summer and Inertia D(live action). Corvette was an interesting look into the '70s custom sceen. Inertia D was interesting. The dubbing was HORRID but it was nice to soak up AE-86 goodness.

The dubbing wasn't the only horrid thing about the live action Initial D.

I hear Netflix has some obscure show with occasional automotive reference on it. Upper Gear, Top Cog, Clarkston is a Bone-Head or something like that....

I remember seeing Corvette Summer when it first came out at a drive-in in Spain (long story). Honestly, I thought it was a terrible movie and that Corvette was as uglified as they come. interesting seeing Mark Hamill and a couple of other actors before Star Wars and before they became famous doing other things. But not a car movie I would recommend.
Now, Grand Prix is a must-see, although the story line is pretty dated, at least it has one, not like LeMans (which is still worth seeing).

Corvette Summer was after Star Wars, but before the second movie. It was shot right after the car accident which changed is face.
