I remember reading here, that there was a not-to-be-missed museum near one of the southern tracks. I'm thinking Lotus and bikes?

I tried to search (yeah yeah, i know) and couldn't find it.

A friend is being taken to a Porsche club event at Birmingham, and would like a link if it's near the Birmingham track...I told him I thought it might be... In fact, anything auto related nearby...?

Yeah, the track and the museum are on the same proprerty. Kind of hard to miss.

There is a motorcycle museum "nearby"....tho how near I forget. It was profiled on an episode of MotorWeek a few months ago.

If you like bikes - or just mechanical things it's fantastic. If you're a life long motorcycle nerd with a focus on The Fast Ones - it's your spiritual center.

Go, seriously.

And for lunch - go to the end of the driveway that gets you out of the motorsports park, take a right and go a mile or so. On the right is an AWESOME little BBQ place where I had an awesome huge rib plate lunch.

The Barber museum and track are on the same property--like just a few yards apart. Both are worth the visit.
