Last summer the D.I.Y. Network was filming a new show called "I Want That" in the DC area. For the garage/car guy related segments the producers contacted a WDC Region SCCA guy who told 2 friends and so on...
Next thing I know, they're filming the segment for the "Car Capsule" and "Cycle dome" in my garage, and having me do all manner of plausible things like deliberately spraying angle grinder sparks at my car, driving my race car in the driveway, and doing wheelies in my cul de sac on a weekday...
Ultimately I come off as a 2-bit shill, but I got to keep both products and the sale of the car capsule on eBay paid an SCCA club race entry...
