Okay, I need to give more business to Bear Republic Brewing. Saw a photo of the owner on the cover of Beer Advocate magazine, and discovered the origins for the name of their flagship brew, Racer 5 IPA:

    That's Infineon, BTW.

Here are more photos with the guy's several other race cars: http://bearrepublic.com/racecar.php

Further note, I'm totally going to have to track him down at the next NASA event (he races in my region) and share some beers with him.

Big Racer5 Fan. The IPA. Bigger Lagunitas fan. If they'd get off their collective ass and stop smoking pot, they might get around to racing something. Until then, they write the coolest beer descripts, and brew some of the best liquid on the planet. Busy consuming a 6 pack of "Little Sumpin' Sumpin' " while trying to learn the guitar. Something about hair bands of the '80's convinced me that guitar and beer mix. So far, it's making for an interesting evening, but little progress....

I am also a big Lagunitas fan. L'il Sumpin' Sumpin' is one of my favorite beers. I just had a L'il Sumpin' Wild (same idea, only bigger and with Belgian yeast). For IPA, I think I prefer Racer5, but I'm not a major hop head who can wax poetic about the differences between different CA IPA's.

Does Lagunitas run a race car? Or are you referring to Bear Republic needing to stop smoking pot. Usually, when someone says a brewery needs to smoke less pot, I assume they're referring to Lagunitas. I'd still love to work for them, even though I'm not a pot smoker.

I tried a Racer5 a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it for what it is, but after a mixed 6-pack of IPAs I've decided I'm just not an IPA guy.
