and I do not mean to completely denigrate Nascar.. It's all in good fun. I appreciate the cars for what they are and the technology is astounding. I do believe they are bleeding edge old tech though...

But pushrods are newer tech than OHC. And carbs are a different tech than EFi, but they can still be state of the art in their latest forms.
oh, NASCAR does have races that turn both ways, and has for decades. And the guys that "only turn left" seem to be pretty good at turning both directions...
