My parents had one years ago. It was a beige '73 2-dr. HT with a 360 2-bbl. It was impressively huge, with a trunk that almost defies description. It was in really nice shape, but starting to show some rust when they sold it back in the late twentieth century. As I recall it got about 17 mpg on the highway. MUCH less around town.

Fury III is the better trim package, SCORE! The look and feel of hand tooled leather, only the finest in 8-track devices and some even had faux wood.

Just don't fill the trunk full of rabbits and pump the exhaust into the car to get high.

I watched that movie not too long ago, not bad.

My father bought one new, moments before the gas crisis. It was powder blue with navy blue interior and just about every option imaginable. He loved it, as it was his first upscale car. He kept it for 15 years.
First car I'd ever seen with a factory alarm. It scared the crap out of us on the day that he brought it home.
Also, first car who's engine I ever blew up.

I had friends that bought one new, they traded a VW squareback for a Fury III 4 door hardtop. I drove it a few times and marvelled at all the different shades of "tan"/off white that the upholstery was done in....and that was new!! Also, was reminded that just as in my mother's aunt's '64 full-size Plymouth, this Fury III had brakes that could stop the car on a dime, but also had power steering with absolutely no feeling to it. (Like spinning a hula hoop around your wrist. Sorry, hard to explain. How about, like spinning your hand around a pan of shallow water?)

That's my favourite Jeff Bridges movie. He plays an excellent role all the way through...while Clint Eastwood plays Clint Eastwood.
Good luck with your Fury!

Predictions are personal opinions. Everything changes, it is a consistent thing and its nature. Gas prices remain high despite expert predictions . Gasoline costs stay close to what they were recently, regardless of gas costs remaining under $90 a barrel since early August. There are numerous elements leading to the stubbornness of the pump numbers.

My dad had one when I was a kid. The engine blew twice before it hit 40k miles and when we got it back the 2nd time the gas pedal stuck to the floor on the way home from the dealership.
We had a new '74 Charger the next day.

We had one when I was in high school. It was a 4 door in metallic avocado green, and in somewhat rough shape. It had a 318/auto, which was more than enough power for any 15-18 year old, even in a car that heavy.
