I need a super low profile screwdriver. Needs less then an inch of clearance. Any ideas of where I can find one.

Hex insert (with the proper screwdriver head) and a 1/4" wrench. Works for me every time.

Works even better with a ratcheting wrench.

snap on makes an excellent one.
We have a recall on new outbacks for the windshield wiper motor cover, and it's possible to just use the little snap on ratchet with the insert to lift the cowl up and fit it in there. less than inch clearance for sure.
    it's probably really expensive though

i bought one of these sets off my tool truck years ago and it's come in very handy many times. it's quite low profile and unlike sticking a bit into a ratcheting wrench it's not straight through so you can put some pressure downward into the fastener as you turn it.

    In reply to WilberM3:

Best thing I ever bought for under-dash service, hands-down.
