I'm looking for a volunteer to help out with a 5th-grader's project. She's the niece of a friend of mine. Her class in Connecticut is sending their Gingerbread Man on a trip, collecting pictures of himself in locations around the US, along with a little history of each area so they can learn about it.

It's not a difficult task, but we want to keep Ginger moving. If you can be his next stop, please PM me here with your name and address, so I can get him in the mail. He's visited at least California and Delaware so far, so let's see somebody from the middle of the country, if possible? Or maybe somewhere historic?

If several folks are interested, I'll send along the list of names and addresses with him.

    Thanks!

    In reply to Duke:

It's gingerbread Flat Stanley! I'll PM you - where I live isn't that exciting but there are some cool places where Gingerbread Man can go visit - maybe I'll take him to Watkins Glen, or Niagara Falls, or the Finger Lakes, or...

I'm down. Although Evansville isn't very exciting, I could get a shot of him chillin' on the banks of the Ohio river.

Cool, thanks! They need a short bit of local history, and all history is interesting if it's different from theirs. I'll get Ginger Stanley in the mail soon.

    Thanks, folks.

How about Everglades Holiday Park? Airboats, pythons, alligator wrestling. Cool place, way west of Ft. Lauderdale. Great fishing, too.

I'd throw my hat in the ring, but I'm basically right around the corner from you. I have a suspicion your friend's niece is going to learn a lot about racetracks.

I just returned a Flat Stanley to a friend's 6 year old. Stanley hung out with James Clay and Aaron Povoledo while the Rolex practice was going on. Stanley had all kinds of adventures here in Daytona. (some not suitable for public consumption! ) I've decided to do one set of adventures for my buddy's kid.........and another (more adult) version for him!

    and the adult version:
