they get to race against the boys right up until they get forced into their arranged marriages and their husbands decide that their wife isn't gonna do things like that.
a few months ago, i watched a documentary about women in that part of the world that do "boy" things. i forget what the woman in the documentary was doing- martial arts or something like that, i think- but she had to give it up when she got married.
