Yep, very far off the beaten path. And since I technically live in Chinatown (I usually say TriBeCa), I've never gone that far out of my way. :)

Most of the Chinese have been replaced by Korean and Vietnamese BBQ. I spent my first 8 years of work eating lunches I couldn't pronounce in Flushing.

If you find yourself near 837 2nd Ave at a restaraunt called The Palm; ask for Ian. Tell him you're GRMer, you know me and he's good for a round, a dessert or a meal.

He's a $2004 Challenger and all round nice guy. BTW, take a 15" cake cut it into quarters' & that's one dessert serving.

    Oy.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. On the Amtrak back to RIC now.

Wally - Oliva was freaking incredible. The bacon wrapped dates just about made me sell the house and move next store. Thanks for the suggestion.

We didn't make it to Chinatown unfortunately. Next time. Dim sum sounds awesome but we'll need to bring our iron stomachs and blindfolds. Sometimes it's better to taste than to see.

Also, sorry Dan. Didn't make it to The Palm. Place has great reviews on Google so next time.

Thanks for all the tips guys!
