it may require thorough cleaning of the upholstery as well. blood, brain matter and fecal matter can leave unsightly discoloration on most materials.

Nope, they're just really short. That one may have an aftermarket SSK on it though.

I don't think it is snapped off, but it isn't in its proper position either. Its almost hidden in the folds of the boot like a frightened turtle.

I would bet that the engine/trans has moved and the whole trans is lower than it should be, or the floor pan has distorted.
