I met the owner of this car yesterday at my place of underemployment. He was buying heat shielding for the headers, as well as an oil filter for the Jaguar V12 engine. He told me this car has an all-aluminum (obviously custom) body. I asked if he did the metal work; his response was "This is my toolbox" and held up his wallet.

Sorry for no pic--click the link:

If he had more than a wallet for a toolbox, he'd have a cooler car.

That car is not ugly, but it is different and only impresses people who don't know better.

To each his own, I guess, but I like it, even if the guy didn't build it himself. Its not the greatest execution of styling, but I like that he tried to create his own thing, rather than just made another Ferrari or Cobra replica.

Kramer - do you know if there are any more details on this car? I'd love to see some engine and suspension pics.

It has a Corvette IRS, and ZF six-speed trans. Then engine is from a 1973 Jag (V12). I think the front suspension is Corvette, also, as Robert Laird told me most of it was Corvette-based.

The car was in the movie "Ocean's Eleven."

That's all I got, and Google didn't get me any more than the above link.
