    Nope, geneticists. They let some African queens escape from a breeding program in Brazil in the 50s. They been working their way here every since. I've been waiting 20 years for the little SOBs to get here so maybe I can get a real job as an entomologist again.

    Maybe you could ask A.J. Foyt stop by and take care of them for you.

    Foyt = Tougher than Bees.

    Nasty little buggers, those africanized bees. When they finally get here, and they will, I'll quit bee keeping. No desire to play with them what so ever. I've friends who have, and as beekeepers themselves, they've nothing good to say about them. Well, other than they produce a lot of honey.

    Nope see it's the importers who imported them to this continent in the first place.

    I'm sure they could kick my ass even with all the leg shaving and homo-erotic outfits but I am just not that frightened of the Killer Bees. I mean... aside from 12yr old boys... who even watches that crap?

    I see your point.

    Stupid thing is it was only a few that escaped. A worker removed a queen excluder by mistake and VOILA!

    "I read" somewhere that it went like this:

    Brazilian "scientist" goes to Africa to get some African bees to breed with honey bees for tougher bee. Carefully selects out very tame African bee queens. His hired help in Africa screws up and accidentally kills all the queens he collected and carefully screened for being tame. Hired help then goes and just grabs some more queens and stuffs them in the packages and sends them on. "Scientist" diesn't know he has full-on mean, nuts-o queens and not the tame ones he picked. Goes about his breeding experiments. Bees escape.
