I've got his jersey, and his picture has been hanging in my room since I was 7. One of my favorite players of all time. I'll be going to see him this year--might be my last chance.
There is something very wrong with the title of this thread. You say "Old man Chelios" and he's 47.
In the context of professional hockey... He's very old.
And he's still awesome.
47 is ancient in hockey. You turn 30 and you're middle aged. You crest 35 and you're an old man.
Go Chris go, and Go wings go!!

Why is Chicago called the Windy City?
Because Detroit sucks and St. Louis blows, we get caught in the middle
I saw Gordie Howe playing-he had to be about 80 before he retired. Guys like them give us old guys hope!
I've been a Chelios fan since his days with Montreal. Although I'm not a Detroit fan, they are a class organization, represented by some stellar players in the last 15 years.
He still looked best in a Blackhawks uniform. Kinda like Mark Grace will always be a Cub.
Can't blame either of them for leaving to get a championship though. I was actually glad to see them both win.
and I loathe the Red Wings.
I hate the Wings, but can appreciate them as a great organization. I also really like Chelios, but preferred him in Chicago colors.
Go B's Go!!!!
