So what's the oldest daily driver anyone on here uses? Summer drivers count. Anyone DD something from the '30s or '40s?
I'm not even in the running. Best I've done is an '80 Celica for a few months. Synchronized gears + power steering = not old.

In 1999 I had a 1965 Jeep J-300 as a dailly driver with 350 buick, 4WD and 4 speed. It smelt like motor oil inside with green outdoor capreting covering up the rotting floor boards. So a 34 year old DD at the time. Nothing major.
I also had a 1953 Jeep CJ-3a but I wouldnt consider that a DD, just an after school special.

I DD (between repairs) my 1978 mercedes but that isn't really a lesson in adversity like some other cars from the era.

87 Porsche 944 Turbo is the oldest in the rotation right now. I used a 75 Chevy truck as a DD for awhile too, but nothing older than that yet. I hope I can DD my 72 Firebird when I add AC, but I'm not sure what kind of mileage I'll get after the 4 speed swap...we'll see.

I DD'd a '75 Chevy Nova for three years from 2001-2004. I also DD'd my '62 Chrysler for a couple months when it wasn't raining, if that counts. My best friend DDs a '59 Galaxie, and before that a '59 T-Bird.

Someone in my town DDs an A, it's not really badly beat but def well used. It has about a .5" of flaking paint that shows a bunch of other older colours under.

Though not daily, I regularly (two or more times per week, for regular routine uses) drive my '60 model El Camino.
She's 49- I am almost as old as she is!

65 Corvair Corsa Coupe.
In the summer months I do a lot of time on a 77 XL125 (w200 engine)Honda motorcycle though. My secondary summer car is a 64 Corvair (convertible). When I get the AC in the 65 I will probably drive it more in the summer, but 70 mpg (motorcycle) is hard to ignore for daily commuting.
Ya, not exactly keepin' up to date with the latest models...

For 5 years afer I graduated from High School I DD my 64 Spitfire. It is now sitting in my garage waiting for me to get working on it.
I graduated in 89, should have put that in to begin with.

The newest cars I own will never be driven on the street again ('97 Protege and '89 Gran Marquis Back 40 Racers). I've been driving the '82 Corolla Wagon as my primary vehicle for the last 2 years solid.
When they're this old and junky, you just need layers of old, junky drivers for protection ;). The '74 Honda CL 200 is good for to-and-from work duty (well...after I replace the clutch cable that finally came today), the '83 Camaro is close to being able to serve back-up duty as is the '77 chevy pickup I just...uh...picked up.

In the late 70's I was driving a 1950 Plymouth, did so for about 5 - 6 yrs... now the oldest is a 95 Impreza with 220k ( the track / auto-x car is a 91 CRX with only 97k )

My '87 RX-7 shared DD duty with my Subaru from around May until I took the Subie off the road. Since then, it's been all RX-7 and it will stay my DD until the first snow.

I drove a 70 ACVW until last November, thats when the motor blew up. So once I get newer motor, the P71 will be on the back burnner as DD

I have a friend that had a construction buisness back in the ninties, I would some times help him out with some projects. Any way, He had a '58 GMC dump truck that was driven all the time and all over the place. I6 engine, 4spd manual with non synchro 1st gear, no P/S & humongous steering wheel, manual brakes, vacuum operated wipers (better hope you don't have to go up any hills if its raining). I drove that beast a bunch of times, it was hard work to say the least. I think a team of horses would have been easier to handel, and might have been faster going up hills too.

My 83 RX-7 has pulled DD many times over the past year and a half. I used to DD my 88 TBird Turbo, and before that a 86 Nissan Hardbody. All of those are flat modern though. My dad DD'd a 1969 AMC Ambassador right up to last year when he bought the Cobalt SS/SC. He still drives that old Ambo though.
Gramps cycles through a 62 Ambassador, a 57 Hudson Hornet, and his 68 AMX. Grandma has a 02ish Lincoln though
Our old neighbor, Chuck, was the best though. April through September was the 1959 Buick Electra 4-door pillarless hardtop with wrap-arounds front and back, the nailhead roof, and the 401 "Wildcat 445" V8.
