The yahoos I was talking about went deer hunting. Upon completion of said hunt, they had NO CLUE what to do with the "prize".
They are still yahoos. Nice try on the spin though.

I'd think if they we're going to donate the kill, they would haven't had the debate over what to do with it.
Can someone donate some venison to me? I'm poor.

Thanks, I gave it a shot. Not my best work, but then I wasn't spinning, I was just speaking straight up.
I definately fit the bill of what you and some of the others in this thread vilify, as I regularly and routinely have no intention of eating the animal I kill when trapping, and sometimes when hunting. The nuisance trapping is often out of season, so there's nothing I can do with the pelt even. So all I'm doing is killing and disposing of the carcass.
You and I differ on what we consider icky hunters. I personally despise the slobs that go blasting away at noises or leave wounded animals to linger with a slow agonizing death. Something I haven't seem mentioned at all in this thread. The focus has all been on hating a trophy hunter. While I've never eaten an antler, and find big old bucks less tasty than young'n or does, that doesn't mean I'd refuse to shoot a buck or refuse to mount a set of antlers.
No, I won't join in the ranting against your two yahoos. I don't have a problem with what they've done, as you described it. They had a dead deer that they were running around looking for a recipient, and if they didn't find it, they were going to take it to be butchered. That's the scenario you described. Now if you want to go back and re-edit the story, that's up to you. But here's what you described.
"You taking it to get butchered?" "I guess." "What do you mean, 'you guess'?" "Neither one of us wants the meat. You want it? You can have it."
There's nothing dispicable there that I see, and I stand by my words on the subject.
You might want to notice that your hunting co-workers weren't bent out of shape either. They were in fact happy to have the meat.
