Tapping the GRM collective on making some spare cash - what's likely to give a better return in a part out - A bmw e30 or e36 (I've had several bmws so at least I kinda know my way around them)? I regularly see sub $1000 e30 and e36 runners around here. Other good candidates?

Also saw an e39 for $1000 in Ft. Wayne - runs but dead auto trans. Seems like it would easily pay back $2000+ between wheels, engine and electrical gubbins.

I'd think the newer cars would pay out better. The engines are more desirable.

anything with a spec class around it will pay as long as the fenders, doors, hood, and bumpers are in good shape.

I'd think trucks would be good candidates as well.
