My parents get Road and Track so when I'm home I like to flip through it.

So there going to pave Pikes Peak? and just in the nick of time, Monster Tajima breaks the 10 minute barrier in a 910hp Suzuki. Crazy. Next year? It'll be a whole new event. "An end of a era."

DeltaWing to produce a wide-in-the-rear and skinny-in-the-front eco-racer that has already been approved for 2012 Le Mans. They'll be unclassified, but are able to be on track in the hopes they show off a racer that uses half the fuel, half the weight, and half the horsepower. Hopefully they make a good showing and prove that racers can still be radical.

Last but not least, I read that Mahindra is again, not coming to the US. They claimed 30mpg out of their diesel pickup, but only got 22mpg highway. Bummer. When will we see a fuel efficient little pickup?

Thats what I "Love" about Road and Track. All of their information is grossly out of date!

We have known about the Deltawing since May, and Pikes Peak has been planned for full pave since a couple years ago.

    Who cares about Mahindra?

I actually care about Mahindra....IF they could bring a 30+ mpg diesel minitruck

why? because I commute from sw GR to Lansing (80 miles) a couple times a week and I miss owning a truck.

The Mahindra is a great idea, it doesn't seem like a bad little truck. The only thing I hate is that hideous body line.

I also read that (of course because this is the United States) it would have only be offered with a 6-speed Auto, no manual.

They claimed it would have a paddle-shift auto, if it had ever made it to the US.

Once it's painted you don't even notice the bodyline

It'd slaughter F-150 sales, and Ford can't be havin' none of that.

Pickup buyers aren't usually the type to really overthink their purchase. We want a truck, so 25 or even 20mpg isn't a big deal.

I don't want really want a truck until the MPG figure is in the 30's.
